Quality flint knapping and carving stone

My name is Michael Arguello and a lot of folks know me as Mexi Mike. A nick name I picked up from some motorcycle riding friends. I learned about knapping in the summer of 2004 at Pinson Mounds State Park in Tennessee. I met Joe and Ann Price there. Joe was the first person to sit down and show me how to knap. Those first 2 years I went to a lot of knap-ins and met a lot of new friends. One of them was Justin Eldridge. Justin like Joe spent time showing me some tricks and techniques. I credit them as my teachers, even though I have read a lot about knapping since the start and talked with a lot of folks that have different techniques. I still ask Joe and Justin questions on a regular basis.

 I try to knap as much as possible but usually only get to knap once or twice a week at best. I have a young family that keeps me busy. I also have a number of other hobbies. Camping, hunting, fishing, making abo pots, and pen turning. My other hobbies and my young family and work keep me busy.
