The David Hudson Performance at John Madill's
September 25, 1999
I made the 9 hour trip to Maryland for this performance. Of course, I also visited my grandkids at Aberdeen Proving Grounds while I was in the area.
About 35 people showed up on short notice. David Hudson started the show with a little of his background. Better than a half hours worth. (I'm working on this page as the show proceeds) He talked about how the lost generation affected his family and how those taken from their homelands couldn't do anything related to their culture. Didj - gave a bit of background on the didj and a short didj playing lesson.....Well, really we're getting an advanced playing lesson......or maybe a master's lesson. It's damned great whatever. I forgot my mike & the only thing John had that plugged into my laptop was a computer mike.....the quality stinks but it's what I had for the sound clips....nobody will steal the clips anyway.
A big thanks to John Madill & David Hudson for a great evening!
