This weekend I went to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to see the White Cockatoo performance.  On the way down I saw many and wonderous things, but I only took a picture of this flood control dam and related scenery.

dth.JPG (7838 bytes)I got to Philly about 4pm & checked into the Devine Tracey Hotel at 20 S 36th St.  It's a little unusual for a normal hotel in that it is run by a non-profit org, men & women sleep on separate floors, no smoking, drinking & eating allowed, and you have to share the bathroom with the rest of the people on your floor.  BUT, for $28 +tax a night, I'm not complaining.  Besides it was only 2 blocks from the International House and the room was clean.

I decided to check out the International House.  I had a couple didjs with me 'cause....you never know.  A few guys I recognized from their photos were sitting outside on a bench and I asked them where Goeffrey the promoter/manager was.  They said upstairs at the workshop.  Wow!  An unannounced workshop!   As it turned out, I was a half hour late and it was a beginners workshop.  Geoffrey Toll fielded all the questions, as **** is hard to understand if you have a untrained ear.

The only disappointment I had with the performance was........I couldn't take pictures, so I got one afterwards.

Although *** was a bit on the cool side during the workshop, he seemed to warm up a bit by the time the performance was over (on right).  It's likely our weather isn't what they're used to.

I met Steve Witte, Jai Dixon and Geoffrey Corner - all highly skilled didj list lurkers - at the performance.  Hi guys.  No chance for jamming tho'.

The next morning I left  for home before the traffic volume went too high instead of sightseeing Philly like I planned.  I saw a couple scenics on the way home and took these pictures of the Lehigh Tunnel and proven beyond doubt that there IS light at the end of the tunnel.
