Spring Gulch Folk Festival
May 18-20, 2001

A few pictures from the festival.  More coming I hope.

My booth/campsite with a couple of  Karl's kids, one unknown kid, and one tall kid (Ted Watkin - tedwatkin.com)

Karl Sangree, my gracious host, mean didj player, and barbeque chef extraordinaire.  Also the owner of a didjital video camera, that's one that only takes videos of didj events.  He also helped my out a lot at my booth.  A big thanks, Karl!

The one and only Tim Whittemore!!  Karl and I were fooling around...with a low F slide didj I made.  I can't play the darn thing, Karl could sssllloooowwwwllly work down to the F and had trouble sustaining the drone; Tim dropped by, I pulled the slide out to the F, handed it to Tim and he wailed on it...absolutely fantabulous!  Tim did a great didj workshop on Sunday which was video taped by the Sangrees which I am hoping to get a couple clips of <G>.

This is Stan the Bamboo Man.  He's the one responsible for getting me started in the didjeridu thing back in '94.  He makes great bamboo didjs, panpipes, drums, and, I forget the proper name of them, leibaphones which look like a huge set of panpipes you play by hitting the ends with flipflops.  He guarantees his didjs for life from cracking and can be reached by mail at:

Expect a delay in getting a reply, as he is on the road a lot.

More to come later, I HOPE!
